Sadly very disappointing. I booked this B&B based on the good comments of others so I'm not sure if things have changed or we just had a bad experience. It started off with the directions to the B&B which are only given as GPS co-ordinates on the web page, no address was provided. These co-ordinates took us to an entirely wrong address. We then spent a frustrating hour and a half searching for this B&B. There is a small sign out front of it, half concealed by a road sign and half concealed by a bush. When we met the owner and explained this to him he didn't seem to care at all and blamed the poor directions on B&B Ireland stating that those co-ordinates have taken people all over the place, including the middle of a golf course. The room itself was fine but the B&B is on a busy street and we listened to trucks and motorbikes for much of the night. The "continental" breakfast was poorly done. Then on checkout the owner refused to accept the Euros which B&B Ireland had said to pay. I realized he was in NI but I had set Euros aside because that's what B&B Ireland had said to pay. Again, he blamed this conflict on B&B Ireland. After 7 weeks of travel and in and out of B&B's this was our last B&B, there was only one other B&B as disappointing as this.

What a lovely B&B - very comfortable, clean room and spotless ensuite. Peter and Sue were friendly, welcoming hosts and made me feel like I was staying with family. Delicious breakfast. Will definitely stay here again, if I visit the beautiful Mournes again.

The room was nicely appointed and comfortable, and despite its location on a busy street, very quiet. Peter and Sue quickly become family. The location is ideal for people who simply want to park the car and experience Newcastle on foot. We even walked to Tolleymore Forest Park (7 miles RT) to experience what it is like to be where they filmed part of the Game of Thrones. Dinner at Percy French was excellent and rooting for County Down's Gaelic football team with the locals at the Donard pub was neat. The Northern Irish people are wonderful.

Really enjoyed my stay at Innisfree House. Host Peter & Sue were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The room was comfortable with great bed and excellent shower. Also great location within walking distance of the main street in Newcastle.
