Whitehead Bed And Breakfast

Carrickfergus, Antrim, BT38 9PY

6 Miles from Carrickfergus

Meet your host…

David and Jane Turnbull

My wife and I decided to open our home to guests after our children had flown the nest. We have been welcoming guests now for over a year and are enjoying every minute of it. Our motto is that Whitehead is a home and we want you to have a home from home experience. Relax, unwind and enjoy your stay, make good use of our home and we will do our best to ensure that your stay with us is the best it can be!

30 Cable Road
BT38 9PY

Whitehead Bed and Breakfast is a Victorian Home set in a Victorain villlage with all amenities. Our home is not a new build, but more like an old farmhouse in many ways. Located close to the sea, it has a charm of its own with cosy real fires when appropriate. We are within easy access to the City of Belfast, with railway links and just a short drive along the stunning Antrim Coast Road to the Giant's Causeway, Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge and a host of other must-see hidden gems. Continental breakfast only which includes homemade muesli, fresh fruits, juices, yoghurt, a selection of breads and homemade jam.

How to get here

Cable Road is the main artery into Whitehead, we are the 1/3rd of a mile down on the right. Carrickfergus is 4.6 miles, Larne 7 miles and Belfast 16 miles. We are situated at the mouth of Belfast Lough and at the bottom of Larne Lough.

A very warm welcome is granted at this place. The owners are friendly, open minded AND ABSOLUTELY HELPFULL. The place itself has its own, antique charm. We would come back anytime !!!

David and Jane are the most welcoming and lovely hosts you can imagine. If you like the personal contact with your hosts and a familial place, that's where you'll find it. They have a great house with comfortable and cozy rooms. The kitchen is the main room of the house where the family meets and where they serve breakfast with home-made bread and a selection of home-made jam (among other things). David and Jane both took good care of me and provided information about the area and what to do in Whitehead. When I left, it was like saying good-bye to dear friends - I hope our paths will cross again sometime.

I was made to feel at home from the moment I arrived, noting that the kitchen is the centre of the house unlike most B&Bs where it is just your room

Perfect and lovely! Fazit: absolut empfehlenswert!
