When non-Gaelic speakers consider the Irish language, two phrases usually pop into their heads – 'céad míle fáilte' and 'craic agus ceol'. 'Céad míle fáilte' is a world-famous Irish traditional saying which directly translates into ‘a hundred thousand welcomes’ and is used to describe the warm and friendly hospitality everyone experiences when they visit Ireland.
