July B&B guest reviews

If you are thinking of staying in Bed and Breakfast accommodation on your trip to Ireland, then our July B&B guest reviews will be of interest to you. These reviews are from people who have already enjoyed the B&B experience and will give you a good insight into what to expect from your stay.

Reades Farmhouse – Mullinavat, Waterford

Betty and I came to Ireland to connect with our roots and to meet the people. The real treasure of any country are the people. Michael and Mary did not disappoint us. We felt welcomed as a long-lost member of the family. Meeting the family members and visiting the pubs was truly a blessing. The accommodation was clean and inviting and we were rewarded with a refreshing night of sleep. Breakfast was wonderful with the aroma filling the senses with culinary delight invigorating the body for the day. The suggestion for places to enjoy were extremely helpful. There will always exist a warm place in my heart for Michael and Mary. David Livingston Hobbs   Review score: 10/10

Faul House - Clifden Conemara, Galway

Kathleen and Michael are excellent hosts and responded to a particular request from my wife for an additional item to their already excellent breakfasts and then added potato bread the second morning. The bedroom and bathroom were roomy and well appointed. The view from the dining room beautiful. A great place to stay.

Dolmen Lodge – Ballyvaughan, Clare

We were 3 generations - my Dad, my adult son, and myself. We stayed in a "triple" room - plenty of space and we each had our own comfy bed. Mary is a gracious host. We were road-weary and she called Monk's and made a dinner reservation for us. Great seafood! The Dolmen Lodge is a great jumping off point for the Burren. After a full Irish breakfast - and saying good morning to the cows in the adjacent pasture - we were on our way. Very quiet and restful, would recommend Dolmen Lodge!

Tom & Eileen’s Farm – Castlemaine, Kerry

There are a few things which will remain in our minds while on holiday in Ireland. The weather was great, the scenery was great and Phena’s and Gerry's B&B was amazing. Not only had we a very comfortable room and a fabulous breakfast, but the extraordinary humor and friendliness of Gerry and Phena made our stay in this B&B unforgettable. A great place to stay! Uschi and Michael Barron   Review score: 10/10

Mount View – Cobh, Cork

Noreen was a fantastic host. She made us feel right at home. She made us a wonderful breakfast and gave us some great things to see around Cobh. She is a textbook example for Irish friendliness. Noreen seemed generally excited to be a part of our Irish vacation. The location is incredible being able to walk right into town. We enjoyed some of the small local pubs on the walk back from town too!

Coolakay - Enniskerry, Wicklow

Coolakay is fabulous. The view is incredible, the rooms are big compared to most B&B's. It is very close to Powerscourt waterfall, not to be missed. Yvonne was extremely gracious and hospitable. She drove us into town to eat and arranged for a cab to return us back when we were ready. It could not have been a better experience, unless we could have stayed longer. Nancy Bray   Review score: 10/10

At West Coast House B&B you can taste Achill Island Smoked Salmon

When you stay at West Coast House on Achill Island in County Mayo, you will have the opportunity to taste the island’s delicacy of smoked salmon.  The salmon is reared in pristine waters off Clare Island/Achill and is prepared and oak smoked at Keem Bay Fish Products, which is just 0.4km from our bed and breakfast.
