Chocolate Biscuit Bites | 12 Days of Christmas Recipes

It's Day 8 of our '12 Days of Christmas Recipes' series; this one comes from one of our team here in B&B Ireland –  A delicious chocolate treat for all the family.  She says:

"For the last number of Christmases I have been making my chocolate biscuit bites; they are the perfect Christmas treat. They are easy to prepare and a major crowd pleaser."

Ingredients

  • 275g / 10oz Butter
  • 150ml / 1/4 pt Golden Syrup
  • 225g / 8oz Good Quality Chocolate
  • 1/2 x 600g Packet of Digestive Biscuits (roughly crushed)
  • 1 Packet of Marshmallows
  • 1 Packet of Maltesers

Method

  1. Line a 15cms/6″ round cake tin or a 2lb loaf tin with a double layer of greaseproof paper.

  2. Melt the butter, syrup and chocolate in a pan over a low heat. Stir to make sure all the ingredients are well mixed together.

  3. When the chocolate mixture has thoroughly melted, add in the biscuits, malteasers and marshmallows.

  4. Transfer to prepared tin. Level it on top and press down well to avoid “air gaps”. Allow to get cold and hard. Store in the fridge.

We hope you enjoy trying out this recipe. It's a perfect taster for the family. Wishing you a wonderful festive season from us all at B&B Ireland.

Danabel Porridge Bread Recipe

I started making my Porridge Bread about a year ago. It was so popular with guests that I carried on making it. Now, I make it everyday and leave it on the breakfast table for my guests to help themselves. I am always complimented on how tasty it is. The wonderful thing about this recipe is that it is so easy to prepare, yet so delicious!
