July B&B guest reviews

There is no better review than from someone who has actually stayed at a Bed and breakfast home. So, here is a selection of our July B&B guest reviews...

Bansha House, Bansha, Co Tipperary

Oh my God what an accommodation. The place seemed to come from an 18th century novel. Magic. Host was so kind to suggest a place for dinner, which was equally wonderful. We also had the best breakfast of our entire trip (homemade apple juice extremely recommended!!!) Would certainly return should we come back (hopefully) to Ireland.  Stefano Peppini   Review Score: 10/10

Sea Breeze, Cahersiveen, Co Kerry

We had a lovely stay at Sea Breeze- the room was super clean and the en suite facilities were very nice. Breakfast was delicious. We didn’t get to meet Tom, but he sure can cook. Eilis contacted us as soon as I booked, which made me feel welcomed, helped us make arrangements for our Skellig Michael experience, and offered to pick up our laundry from the laundry service in town. The beautiful area and the pleasant and efficiently run accommodations means we would certainly stay here again!

Eagle's Nest B&B, Lettermacaward, Co Donegal

Lovely place, great host, great food good conversation at breakfast with other guests. I would stay again. Elliott's pub was great. Thank you to Danny and Maureen Elliott for help with visiting my cousin Susan and the information on the Cannons. They did not mind I was late to check in since I drove for the first time in Ireland from Dublin to Lettermacaward. They were my first stop, I did not want to leave.

Athenville House B&B, Loughrea, Co Galway

We stayed in 4 B&Bs while visiting Ireland recently. Debbie Moore's "Athenville" was, by far, our favourite. The house was beautiful and the property, a working farm, was beautiful, but its biggest asset is Debbie. She is wonderful! She is easy and fun to talk to and had lots of suggestions of things to do and places to see. Breakfast was always superb, with many options. If any of my family or friends are visiting the Galway area, this is the B&B I will recommend. Nancy McClure   Review Score: 10/10

Rosdarrig House, Boyle, Co Roscommon

Rosdarrig was one of our favorite places to stay on our trip! Brenda was wonderful; she was thoughtful and spent much time getting to know us. The home is beautiful; well kept, very clean and many amenities that we loved. Breakfast was amazing! I would definitely recommend Rosdarrig! At West Coast House B&B you can taste Achill Island Smoked Salmon

When you stay at West Coast House on Achill Island in County Mayo, you will have the opportunity to taste the island’s delicacy of smoked salmon.  The salmon is reared in pristine waters off Clare Island/Achill and is prepared and oak smoked at Keem Bay Fish Products, which is just 0.4km from our bed and breakfast.

Danabel Porridge Bread Recipe

I started making my Porridge Bread about a year ago. It was so popular with guests that I carried on making it. Now, I make it everyday and leave it on the breakfast table for my guests to help themselves. I am always complimented on how tasty it is. The wonderful thing about this recipe is that it is so easy to prepare, yet so delicious!
