Guests review their B&B experience

Guest reviews are a good benchmark of what to expect from a stay in a Irish Bed and Breakfast. Read these recent reviews from guests who have loved their B&B experience!

Radharc An Oileain, Dungloe, Donegal

We loved our stay here. Grace is an amazing host. The house is modern and beautiful with large rooms, walk in closet and walk in shower, comfortable bed and bedding and absolutely gorgeous views! Quick easy walk into town along the water’s edge. Grace has thought of everything to make you comfortable- there is a safe in the room, sewing kit, you have one firm and one soft pillow all of the little details that show how much she truly wants her guests to be comfortable. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and we enjoyed sitting and getting to know about Grace and her family each morning - so much so that we started our days out behind our planned times and loved it haha. Truly felt like we were visiting a family member. We will definitely return again when visiting Donegal! The best 2 night stay of our 12 day vacation!! Becky Smith

Applecroft House, Killarney, Kerry

Of the four B&Bs we stayed in during our vacation, Applecroft House was by far the best!! The decor is so welcoming, the bed was comfortable and its linens were great, the location is ideal, and the breakfast was INCREDIBLE. Cathy is really kind and helpful. We’re so glad we booked two nights there rather than just one.   Michele Heath

Carnately Lodge, Ballycastle, Antrim

Natasha was an exemplary hostess who obviously loves her job! Accommodations were great and her shared information was very helpful. Lovely spot so close to the village of Ballycastle made for a perfect overnight there. I loved waking up to the sun-painted pink clouds over the grazing sheep in the back field, followed by breakfast made to order. Maureen

Samuel's Heritage, Waterford

A very nice place to stay for all your adventures in the Waterford area. Very clean room and a nice sitting area. There is a fridge and you can help yourself to coffee and tea in the sitting room. Excellent, helpful tips on area attractions from Susan and Des. You can do no better! There is also a pub less than a mile away that is very good. I can't remember the name, but it is down the hill and painted pink. Mary Englund

Fountain House, Macroom, Co Cork

What a delightful place and couple. My wife and I arrived a bit later than planned and I was met at the door by a smiling and friendly Breda that showed us to our room. She had turned on an electric blanket for us earlier so that we could enjoy climbing into a warm bed. The room and bed were comfortable and quiet. For breakfast my wife and I enjoyed a delicious full Irish and a couple of freshly baked scones and croissants, all locally sourced. This was easily the best full Irish we had on our trip! We were able to visit with Breda and Pat for a few minutes before heading out on our days adventure. We will make the extra effort to visit again!  Ned and Melissa

Winacre Lodge, Galway City

We enjoyed a lovely 3 night stay with our hosts Phil and Martin. The location was great in that it was near the Galway City Center but far enough away to be very quiet. Our room was very spacious with comfortable beds and a large bathroom with a nice, roomy shower...which was very much appreciated. Breakfasts were excellent, especially the French toast. Phil made some of the best I've ever had. Phil and Martin were very accommodating and provided excellent suggestions for local attractions. Deborah Windsor
