Why not add a visit to Belfast, Northern Ireland to the wish list this summer for a truly magical adventure.
Belfast City
Belfast is home to Napoleon’s Nose, Titanic Exhibition and the world famous TV show Game of Thrones. This Co Antrim city is a fantastic base to set yourself up to visit nearby attractions such as The Giants Causeway, Bushmills Distillery and Rathlin Island. In the centre of Northern Ireland biggest and brightest shopping centre is a dazzling glass dome which is also a wonderful viewing point across the Belfast sky line. Don’t forget to ask for Gerry the resident tour guide who will offer you tips and advise –Tours every hour from 10am – 4pm.
Victoria Square is open seven days a week, with late night shopping until 9pm Wednesday-Friday.
Walking & Talking Tours
Pubs have been an integral part of Belfast’s cultural and social life for centuries so what better way to get to know the city than on an Historical Pub Tour. The cost is £6 per head and this novel walking tour runs from May to October.
With over 20 stops and 50 landmarks of interest, the (hop on-hop off) City Sightseeing bus tour is a great way to see Belfast. The local guides have a great sense of humour and the tour includes the Shankill and Falls Road wall murals which offer a fascinating insight into life during the period of conflict in Northern Ireland called ‘The Troubles’.
There is no shortage of Bed and breakfast accommodation providers to help make your stay a special experience.
